Sorority

Sorority

“Sorority”. The origin of the word goes back to sóror, the latin for ‘sister’. Just like frater, the word for brother, originated fraternity, sorority is ‘sisterhood’. This word is becoming even more relevant to discuss the social-political-cultural context. Sorority is an alliance between women based on empathy and companionship to reach common goals. Other concepts are key to understand sorority: respect for diversity, empathy and companionship.

This blogshop was created inspired by these three attitudes that brings the sorority concept to life:

.:: Empower women in our circles
.:: Help other woman in need
.:: Consume products made by women

I invite you to think about this and look for opportunities to help developing a more egalitarian society for women.
