Hannah’s story begins as many I have being hearing in the past while collecting stories from enterprising women around the world. She worked 18 years (!!!) in the corporate world until something changed everything. In Hannah’s case, founder and CEO of the Magnetwork, her youngest child was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
Analysing all options available, she felt there weren’t enough choices for skilled, experienced and professional people to enjoy a flexible yet financially rewarding career. So, she decided to do something about it herself: “the Magnetwork (www.themagnetwork.com) was born from the frustration that despite living in the 21st century, we are still largely bound by archaic working options”.
the Magnetwork is a 100% remote global staffing agency, specialized in Digital Marketing, agency based in Amsterdam (NL) that connects businesses the world over with highly skilled virtual marketing managers.
The rise of the gig economy proves long-term commitments to employers are declining in popularity. At the same time people strive for better control over their work-life balance. Whilst some people decide to become an entrepreneur…many of us just don’t want to follow this path. For those people, they now have opportunity to take back control of their careers and decide when and how much work they want to take on – it’s a win-win for everyone.
